This Peru family vacation is an active cultural adventure like no other! Bring history to life as you and your family travel the country and observe the remnants of ancient cities and fortifications. Your family will spend a full day exploring the lost city of Machu Picchu and will trek and camp amongst Inca foundations, terracing and cities, as well as the quarry that supplied the granite used in building it all. Day 1: Depart Home / Arrive Lima
Upon arrival at the airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel, where your Peru Family Trek begins.
Day 2: Walk in the Sacred Valley / See Ollantaytambo / Train Ride to Machu Picchu
After flying into Cuzco, we will transport you to the Sacred Valley.
Day 3: Explore Machu Picchu / Hike to Huayna Picchu / See the Gate of the Sun
Machu Picchu was hidden so well in the Andes that it wasn’t rediscovered until 1911.
Days 4-6: Trek to Ollantaytambo / Explore the Quarry Camp / Discover Sacsayhuaman Ruins
Nestled in the northwestern end of the Sacred Valley, Ollantaytambo boasts some of the most stunning scenery in the region.
Day 7: Walking Tour of Cuzco / See Koricancha Temple / Relax in San Blas
A closer exploration of Cuzco reveals how well the Peruvians preserve, with pride, their cultures and traditions.
Days 8-9: Depart Lima / Arrive Home
Enjoy your last morning in Cuzco in leisure. This afternoon you'll fly back to Lima. Connect to your international flight or extend your trip with more time in Lima!
