Dear Thomson Families,

Simple, light, and refreshed...  Is this how you feel as you come out from the hibernation of winter? Maybe it's different on the West Coast, but on our Eastern Seaboard it's almost universal to celebrate this time of year. Example: Jessie (she's my dog) and I took a walk last night at 730 PM, and it was still light outside. How amazing! Not brilliant daylight, but those soft slices of the setting sun that don't last long in the winter months. There they were, lingering in the sky, heralding a real onset of spring. This is very good news for us in Boston! It's been a very long winter.

Read on, and happy adventuring!

News bulletin: light and photography in the Galapagos

Are you interested in how the light changes and how it affects the way you see things? Come join our professional photographer on the Galapagos: Through the Lens Adventure July 17 - 26. While seeing wildlife that exists no where else in the world, you'll learn to see the world differently, and to capture that view with your camera. We have upgraded cabins available on the wonderful Explorer II, and air fare has never been more affordable!

Beta report: Guatemala!

Do you live in Chicago? Did you know you can fly nonstop to Guatemala City? Maybe you'd like a quick and easy adventure this summer, on our first-run beta trip to Guatemala. No connections, no hassles, no mark up - a bargain all the way around! Non-Chicagoans welcome too!

Refreshed in Baja

We had seven families head off to Baja, Mexico this spring in search of refreshing their lives after a dark and cold winter. Did they like it? The answer - from ages 7 to teens to 64 - was a resounding WOW. It's a perfect environment for kayaking, swimming with sea lions, hiking and horseback riding. Toss in some Mexican cooking lessons, soccer with local kids, and chillin' on the beach, and this might be just the best family adventure yet. Our web site may not have caught up to our plans yet, but we know all about it and have family references to share too. Give us a call at 800-262-6255. This Baja Adventure is available for December (after Christmas departure), February (with whales!), March, and April.

In keeping with Earth Day (April 22) and our interest in conservation, we now have an electronic brochure available in a fun digital format. It looks just like our real brochure, but it's on your screen - you can flip through the pages, enlarge them (useful for my squinty eyes), and click on links to more information. Not to mention it's easy to share with friends and family. Take a look here!

Our RIDDLE - and another Super-smart Genius Award!
